Hamilton Golf Club operates a dress code and a course etiquette standard, and we politely ask all members, visitors and guests to observe these standards on the course and in the clubhouse.

In the Clubhouse

A good standard of smart casual dress must be worn in the clubhouse at ALL times with tailored shorts and smart denim also permitted.

Golf shoes may only be worn in the Spike Bar and Spike Lounge when accessed from outside the clubhouse.

On the Course

All golfers must be appropriately and suitably dressed in golfing attire and anyone not wearing the appropriate clothing for playing golf may be denied access to the golf course.

Recognised golf shirts must be worn and have an identifiable collar unless they are round-collared golf shirts (gym, football, rugby or shirts with indiscreet slogans or logos are not acceptable). Shirts/tops should be tucked into trousers at all times, unless designed to be worn outside.

Trousers, shorts, skirts/skorts must be tailored (denim, tracksuit bottoms, cargo pants, non-golfing cut offs, sports/gym shorts etc are not acceptable forms of dress).

Golf specific shoes must be worn at all times on the course. Trainers are not permitted.

Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is permitted in the clubhouse.  Members should be respectful when answering telephone calls and move to the spike bar or locker room when conversing.  Phones may be taken onto the course for use in emergency situations only and must remain on silent/vibrate mode.
