Captain Ian Fulton and 9 other members of Hamilton GC welcomed 10 visitors from Tikyuu GC from Japan at Hamilton on Sunday 26th August 2007. The match was a re-run of a match palyed in 1997 when the Tikyuu members won.
Tikyuu GC consists of members who visit Scotland from Japan annually for golf. Hamilton member Bing Itoh introduced the match in 1997 and again in 2007.
This time the Hamilton members were victorious . The match was played in sunny and warm weather and everyone enjoyed the event. The match was followed by a Scottish meal of Scotch Broth, Haggis or Steak Pie and crackers and cheese.
Each side made presentations and the Japan team promised to visit Hamilton again to try to regain their title.
